What is OONTOO

OONTOO is an editable personal or business Web page with its own OONTOO number for quick and easy assess- PLUS a deep linking system using OONTOO index numbers linked to the URL of web page for fast and accurate web page retrival.

Entering an OONTOO number in the Homepage will open an OONTOO web page and entering an OONTOO index number in the Homepage will open an Internet web page indexed to that OONTOO number.

OONTOO index numbers are the OONTOO number with a suffix .1 to.50

^So- OONTOO number 1000 (OONTOO#1000) has OONTOO index numbers 1000.1 to 1000.50 attached (read as OONTOO#1000.1 and OONTOO#1000.50) ( say as OONTOO number 1000 dot 1 and OONTOO number 1000 dot 50)

• To obtain your own number

Either use "Obtain an OONTOO number" or enter a number on the homepage that is not already used and that number can be made your own.

Numbers from 1 to 999 are held for management to allocate. Select a number above 1000 - maybe your post code, your phone number, or some other number important to you or to the situation.

Fill in the registration sheet-

• The Display Name becomes the heading for you web page.
• The Email address must be valid as from time to time may be used by management for contact.
• The information provided can be edited later via account management.
• The password is important to maintain security

Passwords may be changed by Management from time to time to maintain security -however a your new password will be advised and it is recomended that you change this password when possible.

• Account Management

At the Login screen - enter your OONTOO number and Password.If your Password is forgotten - enter OONTOO#1.5 to get help - a reply may not be immediate.

• Edit your OONTOO web page

To create a Web Page for either a business or personal -download a Photo or a Logo.

Replace or renew your present Photo or Logo when you wish.

To enter and format text for the Personal Web Page- download the XStandard Lite XHTML WYSIWYG Editor-

• Download XStandard Lite or goto OONTOO#1.2

To activate XStandard Editor click on the Toolbar to make active for editing.

This version of XStandard Editor has sufficient functions to allow text editing-

The Help supplied with the XStandard Editor program is for the Pro version and describes some functions are not available in the lite version.

Images can be included with the text if they are stored somewhere on the internet- the URL of the image is required and is entered as "Image URL"

If you have pictures saved or stored somewhere on the internet you can use these in your OONTOO web page. To find the URL of the picture - right click on the picture and go to properties - select the URL and copy to clipboard - paste to Image URL request for your web page.

• Store photos and graphics

We find that photobucket.com is a good place to store photos and graphics for inclusion in your web page. To go to photobucket.com enter OONTOO#1.1 or click on URL linking info at the bottom of this page. Join photobucket.com and download your photos or graphics.

Use clipboard to transfer URL to OONTOO (use Direct link to image - URL of image)

Enter the URL in box provided by the IMAGE icon in the XStandard toolbar

• Manage your URL's (OONTOO index numbers)

OONTOO index numbers are linked to URL's of special or important web pages for fast retieval.

If you have a website with hard to remember addresses or a particular page within your website you wish to make easier to access, an "OONTOO index number" is for you.

Our patented system reduces the opportunity for error. When you index a URL (web address) the resulting "OONTOO index number" is the number you advertise instead of an obscure URL or web address.

i.e.: Instead of advertising a URL like
http://www.xxxx.xxx/xxxx/xxxx/xxxxx/xxxx.html
you advertise to go to OONTOO #1000.50 which is more manageable for you and for your visitors and you can change the URL attached to your OONTOO index number when ever you wish through our account management structure.

When the index numbers are entered in the OONTOO Homepage the user is sent directly to the registered web page - no matter where the page is on the internet.

Page access can also be gained by clicking on the URL at the bottom of the personal web page or using the OONTOO INDEX # MAP.

Each OONTOO number has 5 INDEX NUMBERS available for use (dot numbers) .1 to.5 as a suffix to the OONTOO number -Editable in account management.

• Edit each index number -Enter the complete URL (Copy and paste is the best method)
• Enter an interesting description for the web page linked

An Email address can be indexed as a URL.

Enter mailto: as a prefix to the email address as the URL. People can send you Emails without knowing your Email address. Particularly useful where there is a complex or complicated Email address to advise.

If you use Outlook Express or similar email program, that program will open with your email address already entered, ready to enter the message. All MailTo: Syntax can be applied.

If you use a web based email system, e.g. Hotmail or Yahoo- you can accurately transfer the address shown on the page to the message creation page at the web based system via copy-paste- and your clipboard.

Long URL's
To get the URL 100% correct when indexing- Go to the page you wish linked to an OONTOO index number - click in address box, press right button, select "copy" Return to the OONTOO management area and paste the copied URL into the URL form field beside the OONTOO index number. We recommend this way to eliminate any typing errors and to save time.

Dont forget to enter an interesting description.

• Purchase additional OONTOO index numbers

At times you may find it convenient to have more Index Numbers attached to your OONTOO Number.

Change your password at various times to keepyour entries secure.

• Forgotten passwords

Send an email via index number 1.5. A reply will be sent with a new password to the registered email address.

• Internal messages from Management

Internal messages will be recieved at various times from OONTOO management. These messages can only be retrieved when logged in to your account.

• Logging out of management account

IT is preferable to log out of the management account to ensure security. The Log Out option is at the bottom of the page.

• OONTOO Map

OONTOO Map can be accessed from the Homepage and lists all the descriptions of the URL's registered.
